Diese Woche erkunden Luise und Lena von Radio CORAX die lokale und regionale Jazzmusikszene. Dazu haben sie Albrecht Brandt eingeladen, einen der Gründer des “Jazz Kollektivs”, das regelmäßig Jazzkonzerte in Halle veranstaltet. Neben der Jazzszene stellen sie die aktuelle Veröffentlichung der Band “toechter” vor, die Streichinstrumente in die Popmusik einbringt. Wie immer gibt es auch einen Song in der Sonderkategorie “FESCH” – ein Lied in deutscher Sprache, das noch nicht Mainstream ist, aber schon recht bekannt. Diesmal kommt er vom Duo “AUGN” – auch bekannt als die deutschen Sleaford Mods – und heißt “PIEP”.

This week Luise and Lena from Radio CORAX explore the local and regional jazz music scene. Therefore, they invited Albrecht Brandt who is one of the founder of the »Jazz Kollektiv«, a collective that organizes Jazz concerts in Halle regularly. At the same time, he creates Jazz compositions himself and plays the upright bass in his own jazz project »Brandt«. Apart from the regional Jazz scene, they look at current releases from the band »toechter«, that introduces string instruments into pop music. As always, there is one song picked for our special category »FESCH« – a song in German language that is not yet mainstream but quite famous. This time it comes from the duo »AUGN« – also known as the German Sleaford Mods – and it is called »PIEP«.
